Each click is a silent beat in the visual rhythm... an isolated note in a grand symphony of movement.

About the Tokyo Dance Project

Ani

The Tokyo Dance Project is a collaborative photography project undertaken by Tokyo based photographer – Aniruddha Mallik (Ani).

“Dance is about energy, about movement, about emotion, about expression, about the exquisite beauty that the human body and mind are capable of putting on display. As a photographer, I’ve always been fascinated by how skilled dancers are able to bring a magical essence of fluidity and grace to the way their bodies move. If you look closely enough, you can almost feel the tension in the dancers’ muscles as the music weaves through their veins… their arms and legs reaching out to connect with the ambient energy of the beats. Through the Tokyo Dance Project, I want to capture this vibrant spirit of some amazingly talented dancers in Tokyo.

If you are a dancer and wish to be a part of this exciting and challenging project, do reach out. I look forward to working with you and being able to create something that pays homage to the mesmerizing art of dance.”
